Air Jordan 6 Retro

Men's Shoes

Jordan Brand introduced the Cap & Gown series in 2018 with the , a blacked out take on the most formal looking Jordan silhouette ever made, arriving just in time for graduation season. The following year in 2019, the  carried the theme forward with the same all black premium aesthetic, solidifying Cap & Gown as one of the most intentional and culturally connected annual releases in the Jordan Brand lineup. From 2020 through 2025 the series went quiet, paused during years when milestone ceremonies looked very different for students and families around the world.

Now in 2026, the Cap & Gown theme is back in a major way. For the first time in the series history, a single digit Air Jordan silhouette is taking center stage as the  gets the Cap & Gown treatment in its 35th anniversary year. That combination of legacy, occasion, and timing makes the  one of the most meaningful drops of the year and a natural next chapter for a series built around celebrating life’s biggest moments.

The  open with a black nubuck base that runs across the entire upper, setting a clean and elevated foundation for everything built on top of it. From there, Jordan Brand layers in satin black patches across the toe, lace, side panels, and tongue stabilizer, giving the Jordan  a premium finish that feels more dressed up than your average retro. What makes the Cap n Gown colorway truly stand out under the right lighting is the reflective white piping that outlines each satin window, adding a subtle but striking contrast to the all black construction. Reflective grey accents carry that same energy onto the jagged midsole, a detail that rewards the eye without breaking the shoe’s refined tone.

Completing the look on the  is Nike Air branding on the heel, a deliberate nod to the ‘s 35th anniversary and a callback to the silhouette’s original 1991 form.
